Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas: from the Prophet (ﷺ), regarding this Ayah Say: He has the power to send torment on you from above or from under your feet...' the Prophet (ﷺ) said Indeed they shall be, even though they have not occurred as of yet.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ الْغَسَّانِيِّ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ سورة الأنعام آية 65، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَا إِنَّهَا كَائِنَةٌ وَلَمْ يَأْتِ تَأْوِيلُهَا بَعْدُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ.

سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آیت «قل هو القادر على أن يبعث عليكم عذابا من فوقكم أو من تحت أرجلكم» ”کہہ دو ( اے محمد! ) وہ ( اللہ ) قادر ہے کہ تم پر تمہارے اوپر سے عذاب بھیج دے یا تمہارے پیروں کے نیچے سے“ ( الانعام: ۶۵ ) ، کے متعلق فرمایا: ”آگاہ رہو یہ تو ہو کر رہنے والی بات ہے اور ابھی تک اس کا وقوع و ظہور نہیں ہوا ہے“ ( یعنی یہ عذاب نہیں آیا ہے ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔
