حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُشَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَلا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاتِكَ سورة الإسراء آية 110 قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَزَلَتْ بِمَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا رَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ سَبَّهُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ أَنْزَلَهُ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاتِكَ سورة الإسراء آية 110 فَيَسُبُّوا الْقُرْآنَ وَمَنْ أَنْزَلَهُ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِهِ وَلا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا سورة الإسراء آية 110 عَنْ أَصْحَابِكَ بِأَنْ تُسْمِعَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْخُذُوا عَنْكَ الْقُرْآنَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Urdu Translation

  عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما آیت کریمہ: «ولا تجهر بصلاتك» ”اپنی صلاۃ بلند آواز سے نہ پڑھو“ ( بنی اسرائیل: ۱۱۰ ) ، کے بارے میں کہتے ہیں: یہ مکہ میں نازل ہوئی تھی، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب بلند آواز کے ساتھ قرآن پڑھتے تھے تو مشرکین اسے اور جس نے قرآن نازل کیا ہے اور جو قرآن لے کر آیا ہے سب کو گالیاں دیتے تھے، تو اللہ نے «ولا تجهر بصلاتك» نازل کر کے نماز میں قرآن بلند آواز سے پڑھنے سے منع فرما دیا تاکہ وہ قرآن، اللہ تعالیٰ اور جبرائیل علیہ السلام کو گالیاں نہ دیں اور آگے «ولا تخافت بها» نازل فرمایا، یعنی اتنے دھیرے بھی نہ پڑھو کہ آپ کے ساتھی سن نہ سکیں بلکہ یہ ہے کہ وہ آپ سے قرآن سیکھیں ( بلکہ ان دونوں کے درمیان کا راستہ اختیار کرو ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Sa'eed bin Jubair: from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding: 'And offer your Salat neither aloud nor in a low voice (17:110). He said: It was revealed in Makkah. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would raise his voice with the Qur'an, the idolaters would insult him, the One Who revealed it, and the one who came with it. So Allah revealed: And offer your Salat neither aloud so that they would not insult the Qur'an and the One who revealed it, and the one who came with it, nor in a low voice (too low) such that you can let your Companions hear it, and learn it from you.
