Narrated Musa bin Talhah: I entered upon Mu'awiyah and he said:' Shall I not give you some good news?' I said: 'Of course!' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'Talhah is among those who fulfilled their vow.'

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ، فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا أُبَشِّرُكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ طَلْحَةُ مِمَّنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّمَا رُوِيَ هَذَا عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ.

موسیٰ بن طلحہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں معاویہ رضی الله عنہ کے پاس گیا تو انہوں نے کہا: کیا میں تمہیں ایک خوشخبری نہ سنا دوں؟ میں نے کہا: ضرور، سنائیے، کہا میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ ”طلحہ رضی الله عنہ ان لوگوں میں سے ہیں جن کے بارے میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے «ممن قضى نحبه» فرمایا ہے“، یعنی جو اپنا کام پورا کر چکے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ہم اسے معاویہ رضی الله عنہ کی روایت سے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- جبکہ یہ حدیث موسیٰ بن طلحہ صرف طلحہ کی حدیث سے روایت کی جاتی ہے، ( جو آگے آ رہی ہے ) ۔
