Jabir narrated: The Prophet dispatched me for something he needed. I came to him while he was performing Salat on his mount, heading east, he made the prostrations lower than the bowing.

حدیث نمبر: 351 حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَاجَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجِئْتُ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسُّجُودُ أَخْفَضُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ عَامَّةِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْلَمُ بَيْنَهُمُ اخْتِلَافًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا يَرَوْنَ بَأْسًا أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ تَطَوُّعًا حَيْثُ مَا كَانَ وَجْهُهُ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ أَوْ غَيْرِهَا.

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک ضرورت سے بھیجا تو میں ضرورت پوری کر کے آیا تو ( دیکھا کہ ) آپ اپنی سواری پر مشرق ( پورب ) کی طرف رخ کر کے نماز پڑھ رہے تھے، اور سجدہ رکوع سے زیادہ پست تھا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- جابر رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، یہ حدیث دیگر اور سندوں سے بھی جابر سے مروی ہے، ۲- اس باب میں انس، ابن عمر، ابوسعید، عامر بن ربیعہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- اور اسی پر بیشتر اہل علم کے نزدیک عمل ہے، ہم ان کے درمیان کوئی اختلاف نہیں جانتے، یہ لوگ آدمی کے اپنی سواری پر نفل نماز پڑھنے میں کوئی حرج نہیں سمجھتے، خواہ اس کا رخ قبلہ کی طرف ہو یا کسی اور طرف ہو۔
