Aishah narrated that : Allah's Messenger said: When one of you is sleepy and he is performing Salat, then let him lie down until the sleep is gone from him. For when one of you performs Salat while he is sleepy, perhaps he wants to seek forgiveness but he curses himself.

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْكِلَابِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا نَعَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلْيَرْقُدْ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ عَنْهُ النَّوْمُ إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا صَلَّى وَهُوَ يَنْعَسُ لَعَلَّهُ يَذْهَبُ يَسْتَغْفِرُ فَيَسُبُّ نَفْسَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کوئی اونگھے اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہا ہو تو سو جائے یہاں تک کہ اس سے نیند چلی جائے، اس لیے کہ تم میں سے کوئی جب نماز پڑھے اور اونگھ رہا ہو تو شاید وہ استغفار کرنا چاہتا ہو لیکن اپنے آپ کو گالیاں دے بیٹھے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں انس اور ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہما سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
