حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ كَمْ مِنْ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ ذِي طِمْرَيْنِ لَا يُؤْبَهُ لَهُ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ مِنْهُمْ الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کتنے پراگندہ بال غبار آلود اور پرانے کپڑے والے ہیں کہ جن کی کوئی پرواہ نہیں کرتا ایسے ہیں کہ اگر اللہ کے بھروسہ پر قسم کھا لیں تو اللہ ان کی قسم کو سچی کر دے ۱؎، انہیں میں سے براء بن مالک ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: How many are there with dishevelled hair, covered with dust, possessing two cloths, whom no one pays any mind to - if he swears by Allah then He shall fulfill it. Among them is Al-Bara bin Malik.
