حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَحْفِرُ الْخَنْدَقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَحْنُ نَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ فَيَمُرُّ بِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ لَا عَيْشَ إِلَّا عَيْشَ الْآخِرَةِ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ اسْمُهُ:‏‏‏‏ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ الْأَعْرَجُ الزَّاهِدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ.

Urdu Translation

سہل بن سعد رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے، آپ خندق کھود رہے تھے اور ہم مٹی ڈھو رہے تھے، آپ نے ہمیں دیکھا تو فرمایا: «اللهم لا عيش إلا عيش الآخره فاغفر للأنصار والمهاجره» ”اے اللہ زندگی تو آخرت ہی کی زندگی ہے، تو انصار و مہاجرین کی مغفرت فرما“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں انس بن مالک سے بھی روایت ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was excavating the trench, and we were transporting the soil. He passed by us and said: 'O Allah! There is no life but the life of the Hereafter! So forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants.'
