Baab Namaz E Safr Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْمَصَاحِفِيُّ الْبَلْخِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قُرَّةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ مَوْقُوفٌ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَا يَصْعَدُ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

عمر بن خطاب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ دعا آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان رکی رہتی ہے، اس میں سے ذرا سی بھی اوپر نہیں جاتی جب تک کہ تم اپنے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر صلاۃ ( درود ) نہیں بھیج لیتے۔

English Translation

Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated: Indeed the supplication stops between the heavens and the earth. Nothing of it is raised up until you send Salat upon your Prophet.
