Ibn Abbas narrated: (A Hadith similar to no. 716 with a different chain.)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ جَوَّدَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ. قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ:‏‏‏‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ مِثْلَ رِوَايَةِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَى أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ كُهَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاسْمُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَبَّانَ.

اس سند سے بھی   اعمش سے اسی طرح مروی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- میں نے محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری کو کہتے سنا کہ ابوخالد احمر نے اعمش سے یہ حدیث بہت عمدہ طریقے سے روایت کی ہے، ۳- ابوخالد الاحمر کے علاوہ دیگر لوگوں نے بھی اسے اعمش سے ابوخالد کی روایت کے مثل روایت کیا ہے، ابومعاویہ نے اور دوسرے کئی اور لوگوں نے یہ حدیث بطریق: «الأعمش عن مسلم البطين عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» روایت کی ہے، اس میں ان لوگوں نے سلمہ بن کہیل کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔ اور نہ ہی عطاء اور مجاہد کے واسطے کا، ابوخالد کا نام سلیمان بن حیان ہے۔
