Ibn Abbas narrated: The Prophet was cupped somewhere between Makkah and Al-Madinah and he was fasting and in Ihram.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ صَائِمٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وأَنَسٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ إِلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَرَوْا بِالْحِجَامَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ بَأْسًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّافِعِيِّ.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایسے وقت میں پچھنا لگوایا جس میں آپ مکہ اور مدینہ کے درمیان تھے، آپ احرام باندھے ہوئے تھے اور روزے کی حالت میں تھے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابو سعید خدری، جابر اور انس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- صحابہ کرام وغیرہم میں سے بعض اہل علم اسی حدیث کی طرف گئے ہیں، وہ صائم کے پچھنا لگوانے میں کوئی حرج نہیں سمجھتے۔ سفیان ثوری، مالک بن انس، اور شافعی کا بھی یہی قول ہے۔
