Amr bin Dinar narrated from Amr bin Abdulah bin Safwan, that Yazid bin Shaiban said: Ibn Mirba Al-Ansari came to us while we were standing at our places (Amr bin Sinar said:) a place that Amr (bin Abdullah) indicated was far - and he said: 'I am a messenger whom the Messenger of Allah sent to you to say: 'Stay with your (Hajj) rites, for indeed you are following a legacy left by Ibrahim.'

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَانَا ابْنُ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ وَنَحْنُ وُقُوفٌ بِالْمَوْقِفِ مَكَانًا يُبَاعِدُهُ عَمْرٌو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ كُونُوا عَلَى مَشَاعِرِكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّكُمْ عَلَى إِرْثٍ مِنْ إِرْثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالشَّرِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ مِرْبَعٍ اسْمُهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ مِرْبَعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّمَا يُعْرَفُ لَهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ الْوَاحِدُ.

یزید بن شیبان کہتے ہیں   ہمارے پاس یزید بن مربع انصاری رضی الله عنہ آئے، ہم لوگ موقف ( عرفات ) میں ایسی جگہ ٹھہرے ہوئے تھے جسے عمرو بن عبداللہ امام سے دور سمجھتے تھے ۱؎ تو یزید بن مربع نے کہا: میں تمہاری طرف رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا بھیجا ہوا قاصد ہوں، تم لوگ مشاعر ۲؎ پر ٹھہرو کیونکہ تم ابراہیم کے وارث ہو۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یزید بن مربع انصاری کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اسے ہم صرف ابن عیینہ کے طریق سے جانتے ہیں، اور ابن عیینہ عمرو بن دینار سے روایت کرتے ہیں، ۳- ابن مربع کا نام یزید بن مربع انصاری ہے، ان کی صرف یہی ایک حدیث جانی جاتی ہے، ۴- اس باب میں علی، عائشہ، جبیر بن مطعم، شرید بن سوید ثقفی رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
