Narrated Um 'Atiyya: We were forbidden to accompany funeral processions but not strictly.

حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْهُذَيْلِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا , قَالَتْ : نُهِينَا عَنْ إتباع الجنائز وَلَمْ يُعْزَمْ عَلَيْنَا .

ہم سے قبیصہ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے خالد حذاء نے ‘ ان سے ام ہذیل حفصہ بنت سیرین نے ‘ ان سے ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ   ہمیں ( عورتوں کو ) جنازے کے ساتھ چلنے سے منع کیا گیا مگر تاکید سے منع نہیں ہوا۔
