Baab Hajj Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ ، يَقُولُ : شَهِدْتُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ صَلَّى بِجَمْعٍ الصُّبْحَ ، ثُمَّ وَقَفَ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَانُوا لَا يُفِيضُونَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَيَقُولُونَ : أَشْرِقْ ثَبِيرُ ، وَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَالَفَهُمْ ، ثُمَّأَفَاضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابواسحٰق نے، انہوں نے عمرو بن میمون کو یہ کہتے سنا کہ جب عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے مزدلفہ میں فجر کی نماز پڑھی تو میں بھی موجود تھا، نماز کے بعد آپ ٹھہرے اور فرمایا کہ مشرکین ( جاہلیت میں یہاں سے ) سورج نکلنے سے پہلے نہیں جاتے تھے کہتے تھے اے ثبیر! تو چمک جا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مشرکوں کی مخالفت کی اور سورج نکلنے سے پہلے وہاں سے روانہ ہو گئے۔

English Translation

Narrated `Amr bin Maimun: I saw `Umar, offering the Fajr (morning) prayer at Jam'; then he got up and said, The pagans did not use to depart (from Jam') till the sun had risen, and they used to say, 'Let the sun shine on Thabir (a mountain).' But the Prophet contradicted them and departed from Jam' before sunrise.
