حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : دَعْهُ فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن یوسف نے ہم سے بیان کیا، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں مالک بن انس نے ابن شہاب سے خبر دی، وہ سالم بن عبداللہ سے نقل کرتے ہیں، وہ اپنے باپ (عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما) سے کہ   ایک دفعہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک انصاری شخص کے پاس سے گزرے اس حال میں کہ وہ اپنے ایک بھائی سے کہہ رہے تھے کہ تم اتنی شرم کیوں کرتے ہو۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس انصاری سے فرمایا کہ اس کو اس کے حال پر رہنے دو کیونکہ حیاء بھی ایمان ہی کا ایک حصہ ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Abdullah (bin 'Umar): Once Allah's Apostle passed by an Ansari (man) who was admonishing to his brother regarding Haya'. On that Allah's Apostle said, Leave him as Haya' is a part of faith. (See Hadith No. 8)
