Narrated Al-Bara: I and Ibn `Umar were considered too young (to take part) in the battle of Badr, and the number of the Emigrant warriors were over sixty (men) and the Ansar were over 249.

حَدَّثَنِي مَحْمُودٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ ،عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : اسْتُصْغِرْتُ أَنَا وَابْنُ عُمَرَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ , وَكَانَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ نَيِّفًا عَلَى سِتِّينَ , وَالْأَنْصَارُ نَيِّفًا وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ .

(دوسری سند) امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں اور مجھ سے محمود بن غیلان نے بیان کیا کہا، ہم سے وہب بن جریر نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے، ان سے ابواسحاق نے اور ان سے براء رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   بدر کی لڑائی میں مجھے اور عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو نابالغ قرار دے دیا گیا تھا اور اس لڑائی میں مہاجرین کی تعداد ساٹھ سے کچھ زیادہ تھی اور انصار دو سو چالیسں سے کچھ زیادہ تھے۔
