Sahih Bukhari 5113 - The Book Of (The Wedlock)

Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَتْ خَوْلَةُ بِنْتُ حَكِيمٍ مِنَ اللَّائِي وَهَبْنَ أَنْفُسَهُنَّ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : أَمَا تَسْتَحِي الْمَرْأَةُ أَنْ تَهَبَ نَفْسَهَا لِلرَّجُلِ ؟ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ : تُرْجِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْهُنَّ سورة الأحزاب آية 51 ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا أَرَى رَبَّكَ إِلَّا يُسَارِعُ فِي هَوَاكَ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، وَعَبْدَةُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ يَزِيدُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن سلام نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن فضیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہشام بن عروہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے والد نے بیان کیا کہ   خولہ بنت حکیم رضی اللہ عنہا ان عورتوں میں سے تھیں جنہوں نے اپنے آپ کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے ہبہ کیا تھا۔ اس پر عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ ایک عورت اپنے آپ کو کسی مرد کے لیے ہبہ کرتے شرماتی نہیں۔ پھر جب آیت «ترجئ من تشاء منهن‏» ”اے پیغمبر! تو اپنی جس بیوی کو چاہے پیچھے ڈال دے اور جسے چاہے اپنے پاس جگہ دے“ نازل ہوئی تو میں نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! اب میں سمجھی اللہ تعالیٰ جلد جلد آپ کی خوشی کو پورا کرتا ہے۔ اس حدیث کو ابوسعید ( محمد بن مسلم ) ، مؤدب اور محمد بن بشر اور عبدہ بن سلیمان نے بھی ہشام سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کیا ہے۔ ایک نے دوسرے سے کچھ زیادہ مضمون نقل کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Hisham's father: Khaula bint Hakim was one of those ladies who presented themselves to the Prophet for marriage. `Aisha said, Doesn't a lady feel ashamed for presenting herself to a man? But when the Verse: (O Muhammad) You may postpone (the turn of) any of them (your wives) that you please,' (33.51) was revealed, `Aisha said, 'O Allah's Apostle! I do not see, but, that your Lord hurries in pleasing you.'
