Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ الْحَبَشُ يَلْعَبُونَ بِحِرَابِهِمْ ، فَسَتَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ ، فَمَا زِلْتُ أَنْظُرُ حَتَّى كُنْتُ أَنَا أَنْصَرِفُ فَاقْدُرُوا قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ تَسْمَعُ اللَّهْوَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہشام بن عروہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو معمر نے خبر دی، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں عروہ نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ   کچھ فوجی کھیل کا نیزہ بازی سے مظاہرہ کر رہے تھے، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( اپنے جسم مبارک سے ) میرے لیے پردہ کیا اور میں وہ کھیل دیکھتی رہی۔ میں نے اسے دیر تک دیکھا اور خود ہی اکتا کر لوٹ آئی۔ اب تم خود سمجھ لو کہ ایک کم عمر لڑکی کھیل کو کتنی دیر تک دیکھ سکتی ہے اور اس میں دلچسپی لے سکتی ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Urwa: Aisha said, While the Ethiopians were playing with their small spears, Allah's Apostle screened me behind him and I watched (that display) and kept on watching till I left on my own. So you may estimate of what age a little girl may listen to amusement.
