Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَيَّارٌ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةٍ ، فَلَمَّا قَفَلْنَا كُنَّا قَرِيبًا مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ تَعَجَّلْتُ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لِي قَطُوفٍ ، فَلَحِقَنِي رَاكِبٌ مِنْ خَلْفِي فَنَخَسَ بَعِيرِي بِعَنَزَةٍ كَانَتْ مَعَهُ فَسَارَ بَعِيرِي كَأَحْسَنِ مَا أَنْتَ رَاءٍ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ ، فَالْتَفَتُّ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِعُرْسٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَزَوَّجْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَبِكْرًا أَمْ ثَيِّبًا ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : بَلْ ثَيِّبًا ، قَالَ : فَهَلَّا بِكْرًا تُلَاعِبُهَا وَتُلَاعِبُكَ ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا ذَهَبْنَا لِنَدْخُلَ ، فَقَالَ : أَمْهِلُوا حَتَّى تَدْخُلُوا لَيْلًا أَيْ عِشَاءً لِكَيْ تَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ وَتَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ .

Urdu Translation

مجھ سے یعقوب بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہشیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سیار نے خبر دی، انہیں شعبی نے، انہیں جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ   ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ایک غزوہ ( غزوہ تبوک ) میں تھے۔ واپس ہوتے ہوئے جب ہم مدینہ منورہ کے قریب پہنچے تو میں نے اپنے سست رفتار اونٹ کو تیز چلانے لگا۔ ایک صاحب نے پیچھے سے میرے قریب پہنچ کر میرے اونٹ کو ایک چھڑی سے جو ان کے پاس تھی، مارا۔ اس سے اونٹ بڑی اچھی چال چلنے لگا، جیسا کہ تم نے اچھے اونٹوں کو چلتے ہوئے دیکھا ہو گا۔ میں نے مڑ کر دیکھا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تھے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میری نئی شادی ہوئی ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر پوچھا، کیا تم نے شادی کر لی؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ جی ہاں۔ دریافت فرمایا، کنواری سے کی ہے یا بیوہ سے؟ بیان کیا کہ میں نے عرض کیا کہ بیوہ سے کی ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ کنواری سے کیوں نہ کی؟ تم اس کے ساتھ کھیلتے اور وہ تمہارے ساتھ کھیلتی۔ بیان کیا کہ پھر جب ہم مدینہ پہنچے تو شہر میں داخل ہونے لگے لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ٹھہر جاؤ رات ہو جائے پھر داخل ہونا تاکہ پراگندہ بال عورت چوٹی کنگھا کر لے اور جس کا شوہر موجود نہ رہا ہو وہ موئے زیر ناف صاف کر لے۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: We were with the Prophet in Ghazwa, and when we returned and approached Medina, I wanted to hurry while riding a slow camel. A rider overtook me and pricked my camel with a spear which he had, whereupon my camel started running as fast as any other fast camel you may see. I looked back, and behold, the rider was Allah's Apostle . I said, O Allah's Apostle! I am newly married He asked, Have you got married? I replied, Yes. He said, A virgin or a matron? I replied, (Not a virgin) but a matron He said, Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you could play with her and she with you? When we reached (near Medina) and were going to enter it, the Prophet said, Wait till you enter your home early in the night so that the lady whose hair is unkempt may comb her hair and that the lady whose husband has been away may shave her pubic hair.
