حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَامَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَلْبَسَ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقَمِيصَ ، وَالسَّرَاوِيلَ ، وَالْعَمَائِمَ ، وَالْبَرَانِسَ ، وَالْخِفَافَ ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلٌ لَيْسَ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ ، وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا شَيْئًا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ مَسَّهُ زَعْفَرَانٌ ، وَلَا وَرْسٌ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے جویریہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ نے بیان کیا کہ   ایک صاحب نے کھڑے ہو کر عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! احرام باندھنے کے بعد ہمیں کس چیز کے پہننے کا حکم ہے؟ فرمایا کہ قمیص نہ پہنو، نہ پاجامے، نہ عمامے، نہ برنس اور نہ موزے پہنو۔ البتہ اگر کسی کے پاس چپل نہ ہوں تو وہ چمڑے کے ایسے موزے پہنے جو ٹخنوں سے نیچے ہوں اور کوئی ایسا کپڑا نہ پہنو جس میں زعفران اور ورس لگا ہوا ہو۔

English Translation

Narrated `Abdullah: A man got up and said, O Allah's Apostle! What do you order us to wear when we assume the state of Ihram? The Prophet replied, Do not wear shirts, trousers, turbans, hooded cloaks or Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather), but if a man has no sandals, he can wear Khuffs after cutting them short below the ankles; and do not wear clothes touched with (perfumes) of saffron or wars.
