Baab Azaan Ke Masail Ke Bayan Main

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُنَادِيَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : وَكَانَ رَجُلًا أَعْمَى لَا يُنَادِي حَتَّى يُقَالَ لَهُ أَصْبَحْتَ أَصْبَحْتَ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ قعنبی نے بیان کیا امام مالک سے، انہوں نے ابن شہاب سے، انہوں نے سالم بن عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد عبداللہ بن عمر سے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ بلال تو رات رہے اذان دیتے ہیں۔ اس لیے تم لوگ کھاتے پیتے رہو۔ یہاں تک کہ ابن ام مکتوم اذان دیں۔ راوی نے کہا کہ وہ نابینا تھے اور اس وقت تک اذان نہیں دیتے تھے جب تک ان سے کہا نہ جاتا کہ صبح ہو گئی۔ صبح ہو گئی۔

English Translation

Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah: My father said that Allah s Apostle said, Bilal pronounces 'Adhan at night, so keep on eating and drinking (Suhur) till Ibn Um Maktum pronounces Adhan. Salim added, He was a blind man who would not pronounce the Adhan unless he was told that the day had dawned.
