Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, The most awful (meanest) name in Allah's sight. Sufyan said more than once, The most awful (meanest) name in Allah's sight is (that of) a man calling himself king of kings. Sufyan said, Somebody else (i.e. other than Abu Az-Zinad, a sub-narrator) says: What is meant by 'The king of kings' is 'Shahan Shah.,

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، رِوَايَةً قَالَ : أَخْنَعُ اسْمٍ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ غَيْرَ مَرَّةٍ : أَخْنَعُ الْأَسْمَاءِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ تَسَمَّى بِمَلِكِ الْأَمْلَاكِ ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : يَقُولُ غَيْرُهُ تَفْسِيرُهُ شَاهَانْ شَاهْ .

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوالزناد نے، ان سے اعرج نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ   اللہ کے نزدیک سب سے بدترین نام۔ اور کبھی سفیان نے ایک سے زیادہ مرتبہ یہ روایت اس طرح بیان کیا کہ اللہ کے نزدیک سب سے بدترین ناموں ( جمع کے صیغے کے ساتھ ) میں اس کا نام ہو گا جو ”ملک الاملاک“ اپنا نام رکھے گا۔ سفیان نے بیان کیا کہ ابوالزناد کے غیر نے کہا کہ اس کا مفہوم ہے ”شاہان شاہ“۔
