Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi Qatada: My father said. Allah's Apostle said, 'If the Iqama is pronounced then do not stand for the prayer till you see me (in front of you).'

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا تَقُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْنِي .

ہم سے مسلم بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ہشام دستوائی نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھے یحییٰ نے عبداللہ عبدالوہاب بن ابی قتادہ سے یہ حدیث لکھ کر بھیجی کہ وہ اپنے باپ (ابوقتادہ) سے بیان کرتے تھے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب نماز کے لیے تکبیر کہی جائے تو اس وقت تک نہ کھڑے ہو جب تک مجھے نکلتے ہوئے نہ دیکھ لو۔
