حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ هُزَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : لَأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيهَا بِقَضَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : للْابْنَةِ النِّصْفُ ، وَلِابْنَةِ الِابْنِ السُّدُسُ ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلْأُخْتِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عمرو بن عباس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن مہدی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوقیس (عبدالرحمٰن بن عزوان) نے، ان سے ہزیل بن شرحبیل نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے فیصلہ کے مطابق اس کا فیصلہ کروں گا، لڑکی کو آدھا، پوتی کو چھٹا اور جو باقی بچے بہن کا حصہ ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Huzail: `Abdullah said, The judgment I will give in this matter will be like the judgment of the Prophet, i.e. one-half is for the daughter and one-sixth for the son's daughter and the rest of the inheritance for the sister.
