حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِشَاءَ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَصَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ ، ثُمَّ نَامَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَجِئْتُ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَصَلَّى خَمْسَ رَكَعَاتٍ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ نَامَ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ غَطِيطَهُ أَوْ قَالَ خَطِيطَهُ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے حکم سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے سعید بن جبیر سے سنا، وہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے بیان کرتے تھے کہ انہوں نے بتلایا کہ   ایک رات میں اپنی خالہ ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے گھر پر رہ گیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عشاء کی نماز کے بعد جب ان کے گھر تشریف لائے تو یہاں چار رکعت نماز پڑھی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سو گئے پھر نماز ( تہجد کے لیے ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اٹھے ( اور نماز پڑھنے لگے ) تو میں بھی اٹھ کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بائیں طرف کھڑا ہو گیا، لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے اپنی داہنی طرف کر لیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پانچ رکعت نماز پڑھی۔ پھر دو رکعت ( سنت فجر ) پڑھ کر سو گئے اور میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے خراٹے کی آواز بھی سنی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فجر کی نماز کے لیے برآمد ہوئے۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Once I passed the night in the house of my aunt Maimuna. Allah's Apostle offered the `Isha' prayer and then came to the house and offered four rak`at an slept. Later on, he woke up and stood for the prayer and I stood on his left side. He drew me to his right and prayed five rak`at and then two. He then slept till I heard him snoring (or heard his breath sounds). Afterwards he went out for the morning prayer.
