Baab Khuwab Ki Tabeer Ka Bayan Mein

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، فَمَنْ رَأَى شَيْئًا يَكْرَهُهُ فَلْيَنْفِثْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثَلَاثًا ، وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ ، فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَضُرُّهُ ، وَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَرَاءَى بِي .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے یحییٰ بن بکیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے لیث بن سعد نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبیداللہ بن ابی جعفر نے، کہا مجھ کو ابوسلمہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی اور ان سے ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اچھے خواب اللہ کی طرف سے ہوتے ہیں اور برے خواب شیطان کی طرف سے پس جو شخص کوئی برا خواب دیکھے تو اپنے بائیں طرف کروٹ لے کر تین مرتبہ تھو تھو کرے اور شیطان سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگے وہ اس کو نقصان نہیں دے گا اور شیطان کبھی میری شکل میں نہیں آ سکتا۔“

English Translation

Narrated Abu Qatada: The Prophet said, A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So whoever has seen (in a dream) something he dislike, then he should spit without saliva, thrice on his left and seek refuge with Allah from Satan, for it will not harm him, and Satan cannot appear in my shape.
