Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, The worst lie is that a person claims to have seen a dream which he has not seen.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ مِنْ أَفْرَى الْفِرَى أَنْ يُرِيَ عَيْنَيْهِ مَا لَمْ تَرَ .

ہم سے علی بن مسلم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالصمد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے غلام عبدالرحمٰن بن عبداللہ بن دینار نے بیان کیا، ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”سب سے بدترین جھوٹ یہ ہے کہ انسان خواب میں ایسی چیز کو دیکھنے کا دعویٰ کرے جو اس کی آنکھوں نے نہ دیکھی ہو۔“
