Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle said, Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ .

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے زہری نے بیان کیا محمود بن ربیع سے، انہوں نے عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، جس شخص نے سورۃ فاتحہ نہ پڑھی اس کی نماز نہیں ہوئی۔
