Baab Azaan Ke Masail Ke Bayan Main - Sufa-Tus-Salat

قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عِتْبَانَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْأَنْصارِيَّ ، ثُمَّ أَحَدَ بَنِي سَالِمٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي لِقَوْمِي بَنِي سَالِمٍ ، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي أَنْكَرْتُ بَصَرِي وَإِنَّ السُّيُولَ تَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ مَسْجِدِ قَوْمِي ، فَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّكَ جِئْتَ فَصَلَّيْتَ فِي بَيْتِي مَكَانًا حَتَّى أَتَّخِذَهُ مَسْجِدًا ، فَقَالَ : أَفْعَلُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، فَغَدَا عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ مَعَهُ بَعْدَ مَا اشْتَدَّ النَّهَارُ ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَذِنْتُ لَهُ فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ حَتَّى ، قَالَ : أَيْنَ تُحِبُّ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ ؟ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فِيهِ ، فَقَامَ فَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ وَسَلَّمْنَا حِينَ سَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عتبان بن مالک انصاری سے سنا، پھر بنی سالم کے ایک شخص سے اس کی مزید تصدیق ہوئی۔ عتبان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ   میں اپنی قوم بنی سالم کی امامت کیا کرتا تھا۔ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کی کہ یا رسول اللہ! میری آنکھ خراب ہو گئی ہے اور ( برسات میں ) پانی سے بھرے ہوئے نالے میرے اور میری قوم کی مسجد کے بیچ میں رکاوٹ بن جاتے ہیں۔ میں چاہتا ہوں کہ آپ میرے مکان پر تشریف لا کر کسی ایک جگہ نماز ادا فرمائیں تاکہ میں اسے اپنی نماز کے لیے مقرر کر لوں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ انشاء اللہ تعالیٰ میں تمہاری خواہش پوری کروں گا صبح کو جب دن چڑھ گیا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے۔ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( اندر آنے کی ) اجازت چاہی اور میں نے دے دی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیٹھے نہیں بلکہ پوچھا کہ گھر کے کس حصہ میں نماز پڑھوانا چاہتے ہو۔ ایک جگہ کی طرف جسے میں نے نماز پڑھنے کے لیے پسند کیا تھا۔ اشارہ کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( نماز کے لیے ) کھڑے ہوئے اور ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پیچھے صف بنائی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سلام پھیرا اور جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سلام پھیرا تو ہم نے بھی پھیرا۔

English Translation

I heard from `Itban bin Malik Al-Ansari, who was one from Bani Salim, saying, I used to lead my tribe of Bani Salim in prayer. Once I went to the Prophet and said to him, 'I have weak eyesight and at times the rainwater flood intervenes between me and the mosque of my tribe and I wish that you would come to my house and pray at some place so that I could take that place as a place for praying (mosque). He said, Allah willing, I shall do that. Next day Allah's Apostle along with Abu Bakr, came to my house after the sun had risen high and he asked permission to enter. I gave him permission, but he didn't sit till he said to me, Where do you want me to pray in your house? I pointed to a place in the house where I wanted him to pray. So he stood up for the prayer and we aligned behind him. He completed the prayer with Taslim and we did the same simultaneously.
