Baab Eidain Ke Masail Ke Bayan Main

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ بَعْدُ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَ فَأَتَى النِّسَاءَ فَذَكَّرَهُنَّ وَهُوَ يَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَى يَدِ بِلَالٍ ، وَبِلَالٌ بَاسِطٌ ثَوْبَهُ يُلْقِي فِيهِ النِّسَاءُ صَدَقَةً ، قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ : أَتَرَى حَقًّا عَلَى الْإِمَامِ الْآنَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ النِّسَاءَ فَيُذَكِّرَهُنَّ حِينَ يَفْرُغُ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقٌّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا لَهُمْ أَنْ لَا يَفْعَلُوا .

Urdu Translation

اور جابر بن عبداللہ سے روایت ہے کہ   ( عید کے دن ) نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے، پہلے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھی پھر خطبہ دیا، اس سے فارغ ہو کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عورتوں کی طرف گئے اور انہیں نصیحت کی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کے ہاتھ کا سہارا لیے ہوئے تھے اور بلال رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنا کپڑا پھیلا رکھا تھا، عورتیں اس میں خیرات ڈال رہی تھیں۔ میں نے اس پر عطاء سے پوچھا کہ کیا اس زمانہ میں بھی آپ امام پر یہ حق سمجھتے ہیں کہ نماز سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد وہ عورتوں کے پاس آ کر انہیں نصیحت کرے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ بیشک یہ ان پر حق ہے اور سبب کیا جو وہ ایسا نہ کریں۔

English Translation

Ata' said, I heard Jabir bin `Abdullah saying, 'The Prophet stood up and started with the prayer, and after it he delivered the Khutba. When the Prophet of Allah (p.b.u.h) finished (the Khutba), he went to the women and preached to them, while he was leaning on Bilal's hand. Bilal was spreading his garment and the ladies were putting alms in it.' I said to Ata, Do you think it incumbent upon an Imam to go to the women and preach to them after finishing the prayer and Khutba? `Ata' said, No doubt it is incumbent on Imams to do so, and why should they not do so?
