حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: فَقَدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةً مِنَ الْفِرَاشِ فَالْتَمَسْتُهُ فَوَقَعَتْ يَدِي عَلَى بَطْنِ قَدَمَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُمَا مَنْصُوبَتَانِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: «اللهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ»

Urdu Translation

  حضرت ابو ہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے ایک رات رسول اللہﷺ کو بستر پر نہ پایا تو آپ کو ٹٹولنے لگی ، میرا ہاتھ آپ کے پاؤں کے تلوے پر پڑا ، اس وقت آپ سجدے میں تھے ، آپ کے دونوں پاؤں کھڑے تھے اور آپ کہہ رہے تھے : ’’اے اللہ! میں تیری ناراضی سے تیری رضا مندی کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں اور تیری سزا سے تیری معافی کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں اور تجھ سے تیری ہی پناہ میں آتا ہوں ، میں تیری ثنا پوری طرح بیان نہیں کر سکتا ، تو ویسا ہی ہے جیسے تو نے اپنی تعریف خود بیان کی ۔ ‘ ‘

English Translation

A'isha reported: One night I missed Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) from the bed, and when I sought him my hand touched the soles of his feet while he was in the state of prostration; they (feet) were raised and he was saying: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thy pleasure from Thy anger, and in Thy forgiveness from Thy punishment, and I seek refuge in Thee from Thee (Thy anger). I cannot reckon Thy praise. Thou art as Thou hast lauded Thyself.
