وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: نَهَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ رَحْمَةً لَهُمْ، فَقَالُوا: إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ، قَالَ: «إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَهَيْئَتِكُمْ، إِنِّي يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي»

Urdu Translation

  اسحاق بن ابراہیم ، عثمان بن ابی شیبہ ، عبدہ بن سلیمان ، ہشام بن عروہ ، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کو شفقت کے طور پر وصال کے روزوں سے منع فرمایا صحابہ رضوان اللہ عنھم اجمعین نے عرض کیاکہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تو وصال کے روزے رکھتے ہیں؟آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں ۔ کیونکہ میرا رب مجھے کھلاتا اور پلاتا ہے ۔

English Translation

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: The Apostle of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) forbade them (his Companions) to observe Saum Wisal out of mercy for them. They said: You (Holy Prophet) yourself observe it. Upon this he said: I am not like you. My Lord feeds me and provides me drink.
