حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ»، «وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ أَنْ يُبَاعَ مَا فِي رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِتَمْرٍ بِكَيْلٍ مُسَمَّى، إِنْ زَادَ فَلِي، وَإِنْ نَقَصَ فَعَلَيَّ

Urdu Translation

  اسماعیل بن ابراہیم نے ہمیں ایوب سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے نافع سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مزابنہ سے منع فرمایا اور مزابنہ یہ ہے کہ کھجور پر جو پھل لگا ہوا ہے اسے ماپ کی مقررہ مقدار کے ساتھ خشک کھجور کے عوض بیچا جائے کہ اگر بڑھ گیا تو میرا اور اگر کم ہو گیا تو اس کی ذمہ داری بھی مجھ پر ہو گی

English Translation

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) having forbidden Muzabana, and Muzabana implies the selling of dry dates for fresh dates on the tree with a definite measure (making it clear) that in case it increases, it belongs to me and if it is less, it is my responsibility.
