وحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ، فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا، فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ، وَلْيَتْرُكْ يَمِينَهُ

Urdu Translation

  شعبہ نے عبدالعزیز بن رفیع سے ، انہوں نے تمیم بن طرفہ سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جس نے کوئی قسم کھائی ، پھر کسی دوسرے کام کو اس سے بہتر سمجھا تو وہ وہی کام کرے جو بہتر ہے اور اپنی قسم کو ترک کر دے ۔ ( اور کفارہ ادا کر دے

English Translation

Adi b. Hatim reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: He who took an oath, but he found something else better than that, should do that which is better and break his oath.
