حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يُحَدِّثُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ فِي الْإِسْتَبْرَقِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا غَلُظَ مِنَ الدِّيبَاجِ وَخَشُنَ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: رَأَى عُمَرُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ حُلَّةً مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ، فَأَتَى بِهَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِهِمْ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا بَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتُصِيبَ بِهَا مَالًا»

Urdu Translation

  یحییٰ بن ابی اسحاق نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : سالم بن عبداللہ نے مجھ سے استبرق کے متعلق دریافت کیا ، کہا : میں نے کہا : وہ دیباج جو موٹا اور سخت ہو ۔ انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے ایک شخص ( کے کندھے ) پر استبرق کا ایک حلہ دیکھا ، وہ اس ( حلے ) کو لے کر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے ، پھر انھوں نے ان سب کی حدیث کے مانند بیان کیا ، البتہ اس میں یہ کہا : تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " میں نےیہ جبہ اس لئے تمھارے پاس بھیجا کہ تم اس کے ذریعے سے ( اسے بیچ کر ) کچھ مال حاصل کرلو ۔ "

English Translation

Ibn 'Umar reported that 'Umar saw a person with a garment of brocade and he brought it to Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) -the rest of the hadith is the same, except for the words that he (the Holy Prophet) said: I sent it to you that you might get money thereby.
