Baab Libaas Aur Zeenat Ke Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ نَاعِمًا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ وَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِمَارًا مَوْسُومَ الْوَجْهِ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَوَاللَّهِ لَا أَسِمُهُ إِلَّا فِي أَقْصَى شَيْءٍ مِنْ الْوَجْهِ فَأَمَرَ بِحِمَارٍ لَهُ فَكُوِيَ فِي جَاعِرَتَيْهِ فَهُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ كَوَى الْجَاعِرَتَيْنِ

Urdu Translation

  حضرت ام سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے آزاد کردہ غلا م ناعم ابو عبد اللہ نے حدیث بیان کی کہ انھوں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ فرمارہے تھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک گدھا دیکھا جس کے چہرے کو نشانی لگا نے کے لیے داغا گیا تھا آپ نے اس کو بہت برا خیال کیا ، انھوں نے ( حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) نے کہا : اللہ کی قسم !میں جو حصہ چہرے سے سب سے زیادہ دور ہو اس کے علاوہ کسی جگہ نشانی ثبت نہیں کر تا ۔ پھر انھوں نے اپنے گدھے کے بارے میں حکم دیا تو اس کی سرین ( کے وہ حصے جہاں دم ہلاتے وقت لگتی ہے ) پر نشانی ثبت کی گئی یہ پہلے آدمی ہیں جنھوں نے اس جگہ داغنے کا آغاز کیا ۔

English Translation

Ibn Abbas reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) saw an ass which had been cauterised on the face. He disapproved of it saying: By Allah, I do not cauterise (the animal) but on a part at a distance from the face, and commanded (for the cauterisation) of his ass and it was cauterised on the buttocks and he was the first to cauterise on the buttocks.
