Anas reported the king of Dumat al-Jandal presented to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) the garment and lie made no mention (of the fact) that he prohibited the use of silk.

حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةِ الْجَنْدَلِ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، حُلَّةً فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ

  عمر بن عامر نے قتادہ سے ، انھوں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ دومۃ الجندل کے ( بادشاہ ) اکیدرنے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک حلہ ہدیہ کیا ، پھر اسی کے مانند بیان کیا ، البتہ اس میں یہ ذکر نہیں کیا : " حالانکہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ریشم سے منع فرماتے تھے ۔ "
