Baab Sahaba Karaam R.A Ke Fazail O Munaqib

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ: عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ، جِيءَ بِأَبِي مُسَجًّى، وَقَدْ مُثِّلَ بِهِ، قَالَ: فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَرْفَعَ الثَّوْبَ، فَنَهَانِي قَوْمِي، ثُمَّ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَرْفَعَ الثَّوْبَ، فَنَهَانِي قَوْمِي، فَرَفَعَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَوْ أَمَرَ بِهِ فَرُفِعَ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ بَاكِيَةٍ أَوْ صَائِحَةٍ، فَقَالَ: «مَنْ هَذِهِ؟» فَقَالُوا بِنْتُ عَمْرٍو، أَوْ أُخْتُ عَمْرٍو، فَقَالَ: «وَلِمَ تَبْكِي؟ فَمَا زَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُظِلُّهُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى رُفِعَ»

Urdu Translation

سفیان بن عیینہ نے کہا : میں نے ابن منکدر کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا : میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سےسنا ، کہہ رہے تھے : جب احد کی جنگ ہوئی تو میرے والد کو کپڑے سے ڈھانپ کر لایاگیا ، ان کا مثلہ کیاگیا تھا ( ان کے چہرے تک کے اعضاء کاٹ دیے گئے تھے ) میں نے چاہا کہ میں کپڑا اٹھاؤں ( اوردیکھوں ) تو میری قوم کے لوگوں نے مجھے روک دیا ، میں نے پھر کپڑا اٹھانا چاہا تو میری قوم نے مجھے روک دیا ۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آکر کپڑا اٹھایا ، یا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم دیا تو کپڑا اٹھایا گیا تو ( اس وقت ) ایک رونے والی یا چیخنے والی کی آواز آئی ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا : " یہ کون ہے؟ " تو لوگوں نے بتایا : عمرو کی بیٹی ( شہید ہونے والے عبداللہ کی بہن ) ہے یا ( کہا : ) عمرو کی بہن ( شہید کی پھوپھی ) ہے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " وہ کیوں روتی ہے؟ان ( کے جنازے ) کو اٹھائے جانے تک فرشتوں نے اپنے پروں سے ان پر سایہ کیا ہواہے ۔ "

English Translation

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: The dead body of my father was brought and he was covered (with cloth) and it had been mutilated. I made an attempt to lift the cloth, but my people prohibited me to do so. I again made an attempt to lift the cloth, but my people prohibited me. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) lifted it or he commanded it to be lifted. He heard the noise (of a loud) weeping, or the noise of a woman mourner. He inquired who she was. They said: The daughter of 'Amr or the sister of Amr, whereupon he said: Why does she weep? The Angels provide him shade with the help of their Wings until he would be lifted (to his heavenly abode)
