حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ: أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي بُرَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ إِذَا أَرْمَلُوا فِي الْغَزْوِ، أَوْ قَلَّ طَعَامُ عِيَالِهِمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، جَمَعُوا مَا كَانَ عِنْدَهُمْ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ، ثُمَّ اقْتَسَمُوهُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ، بِالسَّوِيَّةِ، فَهُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ»

Urdu Translation

  ابو بردہ نے حضرت ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نےفرمایا : اشعر ی لوگ جب جہاد میں رسد کی کمی کا شکار ہو جا ئیں یا مدینہ میں ان کے اہل وعیال کا کھا نا کم پڑ جائے تو ان کے پاس جو کچھ بچا ہو اسے ایک کپڑے میں اکٹھا کر لیتے ہیں ، پھر ایک ہی برتن سے اس کو آپس میں برابر تقسیم کر لیتے ہیں ۔ وہ مجھ سے ہیں اور میں ان سے ہوں ۔ ( وہ میرے قریب ہیں اور میں ان سے قربت رکھتا ہوں ۔ )

English Translation

Abu Musa reported that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: When the Ash'arites run short of provisions in the campaigns or run short of food for their children in Medina they collect whatever is with them in the cloth and then partake equally from one vessel. They are from me and I am from them.
