وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عائشةَ، عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ، فَقَالَتْ: ائْتِ عَلِيًّا فَإِنَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِذَلِكَ مِنِّي فَأَتَيْتُ عَلِيًّا فَذَكَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ

Urdu Translation

  اعمش نے حکم کے حوالے سے قاسم بن مغیرہ سے اور انہوں نے شریح بن ہانی سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نےحضرت عائشہ ؓ سے موزوں پر مسح کا مسئلہ پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا : علی ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ کے پاس جاؤ کیونکہ وہ اس مسئلے کو مجھ سے زیادہ جانتے ہیں ۔ تو میں علی ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا ، انہوں نے نبی اکرمﷺ سے اسی ( جواوپر مذکورہے ) کے مطابق بیان کیا ۔

English Translation

Shuraib b. Hani reported: I asked 'A'isha about wiping over the shoes. She said: You better go to 'Ali, for he knows more about this than I. I, therefore, came to 'Ali and he narrated from the Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) like this.
