حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا زَارَ أَخًا لَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ أُخْرَى، فَأَرْصَدَ اللهُ لَهُ، عَلَى مَدْرَجَتِهِ، مَلَكًا فَلَمَّا أَتَى عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ قَالَ: أُرِيدُ أَخًا لِي فِي هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ، قَالَ: هَلْ لَكَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تَرُبُّهَا؟ قَالَ: لَا، غَيْرَ أَنِّي أَحْبَبْتُهُ فِي اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، قَالَ: فَإِنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَيْكَ، بِأَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَحَبَّكَ كَمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ فِيهِ

Urdu Translation

  عبدالاعلیٰ بن حماد نے کہا : ہمیں حماد بن سلمہ نے ثابت سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے ابورافع سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی : ا " ایک شخص اپنے بھائی سے ملنے کے لیے گیا جو دوسری بستی میں تھا ، اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کے راستے پر ایک فرشتے کو اس کی نگرانی ( یا انتظار ) کے لیے مقرر فرما دیا ۔ جب وہ شخص اس ( فرشتے ) کے سامنے آیا تو اس نے کہا : کہاں جانا چاہتے ہو؟ اس نے کہا : میں اپنے ایک بھائی کے پاس جانا چاہتا ہوں جو اس بستی میں ہے ۔ اس نے پوچھا : کیا تمہارا اس پر کوئی احسان ہے جسے مکمل کرنا چاہتے ہو؟ اس نے کہا : نہیں ، بس مجھے اس کے ساتھ صرف اللہ عزوجل کی خاطر محبت ہے ۔ اس نے کہا : تو میں اللہ ہی کی طرف سے تمہارے پاس بھیجا جانے والا قاصد ہوں کہ اللہ کو بھی تمہارے ساتھ اسی طرح محبت ہے جس طرح اس کی خاطر تم نے اس ( بھائی ) سے محبت کی ہے ۔ "

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: A person visited his brother in another town and Allah deputed an Angel to wait for him on his way and when he came to him he said: Where do you intend to go? He said: I intend to go to my brother in this town. He said: Have you done any favour to him (the repayment of which you intend to get)? He said: No, excepting this that I love Mm for the sake of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. Thereupon he said: I am a meesenger to you from, Allah: (to inform you) that Allah loves you as you love him (for His sake).
