حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ عِنْدَكَ عَهْدًا لَنْ تُخْلِفَنِيهِ فَأَيُّمَا مُؤْمِنٍ سَبَبْتُهُ أَوْ جَلَدْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ كَفَّارَةً لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Urdu Translation

  ابن شہاب کے بھتیجے نے اپنے چچا سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : مجھے سعید بن مسیب نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے حدیث بیان کی کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ ( دعا کرتے ہوئے ) فرما رہے تھے : " اے اللہ! میں نے تیرے حضور پختہ عہد لیا ہے جس میں تو میرے ساتھ ہرگز خلاف ورزی نہیں فرمائے گا کہ کوئی بھی مومن جسے میں نے تکلیف پہنچائی ہو یا اسے برا بھلا کہا ہو یا اسے کوڑے سے مارا ہو ، اسے تو قیامت کے دن اس کے لیے ( گناہوں کا ) کفارہ بنا دینا ۔ "

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: I have held covenant with Thee which Thou wouldst not break, so for any believer whom I curse or beat, make that an expiation on the Day of Resurrection.
