حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَمْرٌو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِنْ وَجَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ مَا عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ ثَوْبَيْنِ لِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ سِوَى ثَوْبَيْ مِهْنَتِهِ . قَالَ عَمْرٌو:‏‏‏‏ وَأَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ حَبَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ سَلَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَرَوَاهُ وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيه، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْيُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Urdu Translation

محمد بن یحییٰ بن حبان نے بیان کیا ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر میسر ہو سکے تو تمہارے لیے کوئی حرج کی بات نہیں کہ تم میں سے ہر ایک اپنے کام کاج کے کپڑوں کے علاوہ دو کپڑے جمعہ کے لیے بنا رکھے ۱؎ ۔ عمرو کہتے ہیں: مجھے ابن ابوحبیب نے خبر دی ہے، انہوں نے موسیٰ بن سعد سے، موسیٰ بن سعد نے ابن حبان سے، ابن حبان نے ابن سلام سے روایت کی ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اسے منبر پر فرماتے سنا ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے وہب بن جریر نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے یحییٰ بن ایوب سے، یحییٰ نے یزید بن ابوحبیب سے، انہوں نے موسیٰ بن سعد سے، موسیٰ بن سعد نے یوسف بن عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: What is the harm if any of you has two garments, if he can provide them, for Friday (prayer) in addition to the two garments for his daily work? Amr reported from Ibn Habib from Musa ibn Saad from Ibn Habban from Ibn Salam who heard this (tradition) from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم on the pulpit. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been reported by Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Salam from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم through a different chain of narrators.
