حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو بھی قوم ( جماعت ) اللہ کے گھروں یعنی مساجد میں سے کسی گھر یعنی مسجد میں جمع ہو کر کتاب اللہ کی تلاوت کرتی اور باہم اسے پڑھتی پڑھاتی ہے اس پر سکینت نازل ہوتی ہے، اسے اللہ کی رحمت ڈھانپ لیتی ہے، فرشتے اسے گھیرے میں لے لیتے ہیں اور اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا ذکر ان لوگوں میں کرتا ہے، جو اس کے پاس رہتے ہیں یعنی مقربین ملائکہ میں ۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: No people get together in a house of the houses of Allah (i. e. a mosque), reciting the Book of Allah, and learning it together among themselves, but calmness (sakinah) comes down to them, (Divine) mercy covers them (from above), and the angels surround them, and Allah makes a mention of them among those who are with Him.
