Narrated Aishah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم mentioned about Safiyyah, daughter of Huyayy. He was told that she had menstruated. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: She may probably detain us. They (the people) said: She has performed the obligatory circumambulation (Tawaf al-Ziyarah). He said: If so, there is no need (of staying any longer).

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهَا قَدْ حَاضَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَعَلَّهَا حَابِسَتُنَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّهَا قَدْ أَفَاضَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَا إِذًا .
