حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَوْلًى لِسَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ سَعْدًا وَجَدَ عَبِيدًا مِنْ عَبِيدِ الْمَدِينَةِ يَقْطَعُونَ مِنْ شَجَرِ الْمَدِينَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخَذَ مَتَاعَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ يَعْنِي لِمَوَالِيهِمْ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى أَنْ يُقْطَعَ مِنْ شَجَرِ الْمَدِينَةِ شَيْءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَطَعَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَلِمَنْ أَخَذَهُ سَلَبُهُ .

Urdu Translation

سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کے غلام سے روایت ہے کہ   سعد نے مدینہ کے غلاموں میں سے کچھ غلاموں کو مدینہ کے درخت کاٹتے پایا تو ان کے اسباب چھین لیے اور ان کے مالکوں سے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو منع کرتے سنا ہے کہ مدینہ کا کوئی درخت نہ کاٹا جائے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: جو کوئی اس میں کچھ کاٹے تو جو اسے پکڑے اس کا اسباب چھین لے ۱؎ ۔

English Translation

A client of Saad said “Saad found some slaves from the slaves of Madina cutting the trees of Madina. ” So, he took away their property and said to their patrons “I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prohibiting to cut any tree of Madina”. He said “If anyone cuts any one of them, what is taken from him will belong to the one who seizes him. ”
