Narrated Abdullah ibn Saad al-Ansari: I asked the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as to what makes it necessary to take a bath and about the (prostatic) fluid that flows after taking a bath. He replied: that is called madhi (prostatic fluid). It flows from every male. You should wash your private parts and testicles because of it and perform ablution as you do for prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْحَرَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّا يُوجِبُ الْغُسْلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنِ الْمَاءِ يَكُونَ بَعْدَ الْمَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ذَاكَ الْمَذْيُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكُلُّ فَحْلٍ يَمْذِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَغْسِلُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَرْجَكَ وَأُنْثَيَيْكَ وَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَكَ لِلصَّلَاةِ .

عبداللہ بن سعد انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس چیز کے بارے میں پوچھا جو غسل کو واجب کرتی ہے، اور اس پانی کے بارے میں پوچھا جو غسل کے بعد عضو مخصوص سے نکل آئے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہی مذی ہے، اور ہر مرد کو مذی نکلتی ہے، لہٰذا تم اپنی شرمگاہ اور اپنے دونوں فوطوں کو دھو ڈالو، اور وضو کرو جیسے نماز کے لیے وضو کرتے ہو ۔
