Sunan Abu Dawood 2372 - Fasting (Kitab Al-Siyam)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَاهُ وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِثْلَهُ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سینگی ( پچھنا ) لگوایا اور آپ روزے سے تھے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے وہیب بن خالد نے ایوب سے اسی سند سے اسی کے مثل روایت کیا ہے، اور جعفر بن ربیعہ اور ہشام بن حسان نے عکرمہ سے انہوں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے اسی کے مثل روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم had himself cupped when he was fasting. Abu Dawud said: Wuhaib bin Khalid narrated a similar tradition from Ayyub through a different chain of narrators. Jafar bin Rabiah and Hisham, that is, Ibn Hassan, narrated a similar tradition from Ikrimah on the authority of Ibn Abbas.
