حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي سِنَانُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِيشَبِيبُ بْنُ نُعَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ أَخَذَ أَرْضًا بِجِزْيَتِهَا فَقَدِ اسْتَقَالَ هِجْرَتَهُ وَمَنْ نَزَعَ صَغَارَ كَافِرٍ مِنْ عُنُقِهِ فَجَعَلَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ فَقَدْ وَلَّى الإِسْلَامَ ظَهْرَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَمِعَ مِنِّي خَالِدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ أَشُبَيْبٌ حَدَّثَكَ ؟ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا قَدِمْتَ فَسَلْهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِالْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَكَتَبَهُ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ سَأَلَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ الْقِرْطَاسَ فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ فَلَمَّا قَرَأَهُ تَرَكَ مَا فِي يَدِهِ مِنَ الأَرْضِينَ حِينَ سَمِعَ ذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُمَيْرٍ الْيَزَنِيُّ لَيْسَ هُوَ صَاحِبَ شُعْبَةَ.

Urdu Translation

ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ کا بیان ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے جزیہ والی زمین خرید لی تو اس نے ( گویا ) اپنی ہجرت فسخ کر دی اور جس نے کسی کافر کی ذلت ( یعنی جزیہ کو ) اس کے گلے سے اتار کر اپنے گلے میں ڈال لیا ( یعنی جزیے کی زمین خرید لے کر زراعت کرنے لگا اور جزیہ دینا قبول کر لیا ) تو اس نے اسلام کو پس پشت ڈل دیا ۔ ( اس حدیث کے راوی سنان ) کہتے ہیں: خالد بن معدان نے یہ حدیث مجھ سے سنی تو انہوں نے کہا: کیا شبیب نے تم سے یہ حدیث بیان کی ہے؟ میں نے کہا: ہاں، انہوں نے کہا: جب تم شبیب کے پاس جاؤ تو ان سے کہو کہ وہ یہ حدیث مجھ کو لکھ بھیجیں۔ سنان کہتے ہیں: ( میں نے ان سے کہا ) تو شبیب نے یہ حدیث خالد کے لیے لکھ کر ( مجھ کو ) دی، پھر جب میں خالد بن معدان کے پاس آیا تو انہوں نے قرطاس ( کاغذ ) مانگا میں نے ان کو دے دیا، جب انہوں نے اسے پڑھا، تو ان کے پاس جتنی خراج کی زمینیں تھیں سب چھوڑ دیں۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ یزید بن خمیر یزنی ہیں، شعبہ کے شاگرد نہیں ۱؎۔

English Translation

Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If anyone takes land by (paying) its jizyah, he renounces his immigration; and if anyone takes off the disgrace of an unbeliever from his neck he turns away his back from Islam. He (the narrator) said: Thereafter Khalid ibn Madan heard this tradition from me, and he said: Has Shubayb narrated it to you? I said: Yes. He said! When you come to him, ask him to write this tradition to me. He said: He then wrote it for him. When I came, Khalid ibn Madan asked me for the paper and I gave it to him. When he read (the paper), he abandoned the lands he had in his possession the moment he heard this. Abu Dawud said: This Yazid bin Khumair al-Yazani is not the disciple of Shubah.
