Baab Ghulam Ki Azadi Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِثْلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏زَادَ مِنْ كُرْسُفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَذُكِرَ لِعَائِشَةَ قَوْلُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَبُرْدٍ حِبَرَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ أُتِيَ بِالْبُرْدِ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ رَدُّوهُ وَلَمْ يُكَفِّنُوهُ فِيهِ.

Urdu Translation

اس سند سے بھی ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے اسی کے ہم مثل مروی ہے   البتہ اتنا زیادہ ہے کہ وہ کپڑے روئی کے تھے۔ پھر ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے یہ بات ذکر کی گئی کہ لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کفن میں دو سفید کپڑے اور دھاری دار یمنی چادر تھی، تو انہوں نے کہا: چادر لائی گئی تھی لیکن لوگوں نے اسے لوٹا دیا تھا، اس میں آپ کو کفنایا نہیں تھا۔

English Translation

A similar tradition has been transmitted by Aishah through a different chain of narrators. This version adds: of cotton . The narrator said: Aishah was told that the people said that he was shrouded in two garments and one cloak. She replied: A cloak was brought but they returned it and did not shroud him in it.
