حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ نَجْرَانِيَّةٍ الْحُلَّةُ:‏‏‏‏ ثَوْبَانِ وَقَمِيصُهُ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ:‏‏‏‏ حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَمِيصِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نجران کے بنے ہوئے تین کپڑوں میں کفن دئیے گئے، دو کپڑے ( چادر اور تہہ بند ) اور ایک وہ قمیص جس میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وفات پائی تھی ۱؎۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: عثمان بن ابی شیبہ کی روایت میں ہے: تین کپڑوں میں کفن دیے گئے، سرخ جوڑا ( یعنی چادر و تہہ بند ) اور ایک وہ قمیص تھی جس میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انتقال فرمایا تھا۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was shrouded in three garments made in Najran: two garments and one shirt in which he died. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Uthman said: In three garments: two red garments and a shirt in which he died.
